Description:

A.E. Engine, a sports media and events company, is seeking a managing editor to join its team.

The qualified candidate will have extensive knowledge and interest in high school football, specifically, and scholastic sports in general. The position will entail project coordination with a heavy focus on writing for both digital and print mediums (you will interview and write a lot). Additionally, the position entails managing a team of social media assistants who are hired on a semester by semester basis.

A.E. Engine's high school football portfolio includes FNF an FNF Coaches print magazines, email newsletters and websites.

We are seeking someone who has experience working for a newspaper or related media company, can write clean copy, can work on deadline, can multi-task, and has a passion for football. We are also looking for someone who is talented, outgoing, creative, engaging, driven and will fit in well in our office. This position is also open to up-and-comers seeking a challenge.

The position will mainly work out of our office in Tampa-St. Petersburg, but there will be the ability to work from home at times.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Submit your resume and two really, really good football clips for us to review. If we are interested, we will most certainly contact you.
