Description:

Interest in novel cryptocurrency assets is exploding in the dark--without reliable sources of news, analysis and data. Token Report will shed light, bringing data-driven analysis and credible reporting to bear on crowdfunded blockchain startups. Our long-term vision is to develop a globally accessible model for financial data and research.

Token Report is an investor information service covering novel cryptocurrency assets, including new token sales, sometimes called "initial coin offerings" (ICOs). These projects are built on the blockchain, the same distributed data technology that made Bitcoin possible. A growing population of sophisticated investors and technologists looks at tokenized blockchain startups and open-source projects as the potential vessels of a third wave of the digital economy--or at least a reimagining of the global financial system. Token Report reaches this audience with objective analysis and insight on new, token-based projects.

We’re looking for a financial journalist to join our Data Team, whose daily mission is to be first on any news, in any language, related to new cryptocurrency offerings. We need:
*Newshounds who get scoops in online forums, conference hallways and barrooms
*Developers who can work with javascript and APIs to make a wider and finer data-gathering net
*Foreign language speakers: Mandarin, Russian and Japanese are all priorities

You don't need to be able to do all these things, but we're looking for candidates who are confident on at least one. (For example: it's OK if our newshound prefers to dwell in online forums, as long as our developer is good at getting scoops in barrooms.) Daily responsibilities include:

*Monitor online forums and social media--first to know when new information or dicussion topics come up
*Search these forums and token sale documentation, gathering data
*Spot patterns in those data, ask intelligent questions and write thorough analyses
*Maintain a profound and constant respect for the line between fact and hype

If you have a background in business journalism, technology or financial research, that's great. If you understand a thing or two about cryptocurrencies and the blockchain, even better. If not, we're willing to teach that domain knowledge to the candidate who shows skill and ambition. We don’t mind where you are located, as long as you’re driven to be first with information that has a profound impact on people’s livelihoods.

If that sounds interesting to you, please get in touch.
