San Angelo LIVE! is the largest news source in west Texas. With over 250,000 monthly readers, our stories cover regional and local issues from our home office in San Angelo, Texas. We have been around since 2013 as a start-up local news platform, including mobile, web, and social media. You may have read about our success in the trades here and here. We were considered a center-right publication as our market area is 75% Republican in the voting population. Transparency on that fact is important in today's toxic political environment where the political center seems to be eroding quickly into extreme camps.

As editor-in-chief, you will have editorial control with a staff of 3-4 in addition to several freelancers. We report breaking news, civic stories about government, and entertainment.

We are seeking someone who has a strong desire to report the news factually and can contribute to our content strategy and execute that strategy.

San Angelo is poised for boom times ahead. It sits at the confluence of the Concho Rivers and has a vibrant downtown and entertainment scene. San Angelo is home of Angelo State University, a part of the Texas Tech University System and one of the fastest-growing state universities in Texas. In addition, Goodfellow Air Force Base trains intelligence officers and firefighters for all four branches of the U.S. Military. San Angelo sits on the eastern edge of the Permian Basin and has a number of oil field services companies.
