We are currently seeking a financial journalist to support TelecomFinance, the most authoritative source of information and perspective on the global telecommunications industry. 

TelecomFinance provides extensive global coverage of complex transactions in the private and public equity and debt capital markets, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate strategy.   We cover operators, tower, and infrastructure providers through to content producers, technology and equipment manufacturers, and investors.

Our subscribers include corporate directors, chief financial officers, heads of corporate development & strategy, investment bankers, lawyers, consultants, and capital providers who rely on TelecomFinance for insights on the critical financial and strategic aspects of the industry.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an ambitious financial journalist to help our subscribers understand the complexities of corporate finance and M&A in the telecommunications industries, with a focus on telecoms infrastructure. 

The ideal candidate will have well-rounded business journalism experience, such as covering a major corporate beat or financial markets. To succeed in this role you will need to think and write broadly and be adept at balancing short-term coverage and breaking news with weekly features and long-term assignments. Your writing needs to be sophisticated enough to appeal to finance chiefs, yet clear enough to be understood by intelligent executives with a casual interest in finance.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • 1-3 years experience (internships included).
  • English language fluency is required.
  • Ability to source information on critical business issues.
  • Ability to adhere to very tight deadlines.
  • Identify sources including industry analysts, corporate executives, and advisors.
  • Provide background research for senior journalists.
  • Attend industry conferences and develop relationships.
  • Publish articles to the firm’s CMS and through social media.
