Job StatusFull-time
Salary$29,000 to $32,000
Description:

Are you a concise writer who is energized by the fast pace of the news biz and the opportunity to turn around lots of stories quickly?

Are you interested in people? Do you chat up strangers in the grocery store? Do you drive past buildings under construction and holes being dug in the road and think, “What’s going on with that?”

Do you take great care in the quality of words in the story — rather than the quantity of words?

Do you have a fire in your belly for multi-media — great photos, compelling video and creative storytelling?

Do you want a free ticket to ask anybody just about anything? Does the opportunity to tell people about the things they care about excite you?

If so, we want to talk to you.

Beaver Dam Partners Inc. is seeking staffers for our three weekly newspapers and corresponding 24/7 interactive news websites on the South Coast of Massachusetts. The immediate needs is for a Dartmouth Week reporter -- but we are always looking for good people who are interested in working with us.

Wareham Week andWarehamVillageSoup.com were launched in 2010; Sippican Week andSippicanVillageSoup.com were launched in 2011; Dartmouth Week andDartmouthVillageSoup.com were launched in 2015. All are read by just about everyone in our communities.

We’re obsessively focused on the communities we cover — so we require our staffers to live in the communities they’re covering. (Trust us, you’ll like it here.)

You won’t see us pontificating about state issues. We won’t endorse a candidate for president or governor or even a member of our town’s Board of Selectmen. Opinions? Our readers write those so we can focus on what’s important: covering the news our communities care about — covering it first and covering it well.

We’re a tight-knit group of journalists. We take ourselves seriously, but not too seriously. We pride ourselves on doing things differently, raising the bar for community newspapers, and having fun.

Want to join us? Send your resume to jaime@beaverdampartners.com and tell us why.
