Are you a concise writer who is energized by the fast pace of the news business and the opportunity to turn around lots of stories quickly?
Are you interested in people? Do you chat up strangers in the grocery store? Do you drive past buildings under construction and holes being dug in the road and think, “What’s going on with that?”
Do you take great care in the quality of words in the story — rather than the quantity of words?
Do you have a fire in your belly for multi-media — great photos, compelling video and creative storytelling?
Do you want a free ticket to ask anybody just about anything? Does the opportunity to tell people about the things they care about excite you?
If so, we want to talk to you.
Beaver Dam Partners Inc. is seeking a reporter for Wareham Week, one of our three weekly newspapers and corresponding 24/7 interactive news websites on the South Coast of Massachusetts. While the immediate need is for a Wareham Week reporter, we are always looking for good people who are interested in working with us.
Wareham Week (WarehamWeekToday.com) was launched in 2010; Sippican Week (SippicanWeekToday.com), serving the towns of Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester, MA, was launched in 2011; Dartmouth Week (DartmouthWeekToday.com) was launched in 2015. All are read by just about everyone in our communities.
We’re obsessively focused on the communities we cover — so we require our staffers to live in the communities they’re covering. (Trust us, you’ll like it here.)
We take ourselves seriously, but not too seriously. We pride ourselves on doing things differently, raising the bar for community newspapers, and having fun.
Want to join us? Send your resume to firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us why.
