Beaver Dam Partners Inc. is seeking a talented, energetic, multi-media reporter for its community newspapers and websites on the South Coast of Massachusetts.

The ideal candidate will:

-- Be a concise, clean, engaging writer who is energized by the fast pace of the news business and the opportunity to turn around lots of stories quickly.

-- Have a journalism degree and/or some professional news reporting experience.

-- Be able to take and edit eye-catching news and feature photos.

-- Enjoy becoming part of a community, talking with strangers, calling officials who may (or may not) want to talk to you, chatting up people at a community event.

-- Be ready to report and write stories about everything local: Municipal meetings, schools, police, courts, sports, arts, interesting people, community events, etc. You don't have to know a lot about any specific subject going in -- but you must possess the willingness and enthusiasm to learn!

-- Be organized, efficient and able to work well independently and in a small team.

-- Have some experience using InDesign.

Beaver Dam Partners is a 13-year-old Wareham, MA-based company, publishing free weekly newspapers and their associated websites. Current titles are: Wareham Week (WarehamWeekToday.com),  Sippican Week (SippicanWeekToday.com), Dartmouth Week (DartmouthWeekToday.com) and the just launched Nemasket Week (NemasketWeekToday.com) Professionally produced with our commitment to "tight, bright and right," all are locally focused and read by just about everyone in our communities.
