Senior Reporter for USAE, a 36-year-old weekly print and ‘e’ newspaper with nationwide circulation based in Bethesda, MD. Our editorial focus is news affecting trade and professional associations. Related coverage concerns the hotel/hospitality industry and destination marketing organizations (known as convention and visitor bureaus or CVBs.)

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, self-starting and highly motivated reporter to join our team of three full-time editor/reporters to cover breaking news as well as government affairs.

The right applicant must have excellent reporting and writing skills as well as the ability to get late-breaking stories done on deadline. Additionally, you must be a multi-platform journalist who knows the ins-and-outs of social media and is fluent in all current software and internet applications. Attention to detail is imperative.

There is company-paid travel to meetings industry conventions a few times a year as USAE produces on-site daily editions at these events.

You must be a college graduate, preferably with major or degree in Journalism and minimum two years experience as a newspaper reporter.
