Description:
We are looking for a publisher for two weekly papers in DeWitt County, Texas (Cuero and Yorktown). The right candidate needs background in managing editorial and advertising. It is our belief that quality people create quality products that are creative, relevant and profitable. These papers create opportunities for advertisers through print, niche and digital products. A great publisher coaches, teaches and motivates employees to continually improve the paper's print and digital products, creating the best and most cost-effective marketing choice for our advertising clients. A great publisher is also the face of the newspaper and builds relationships through participation in civic groups and attending chamber functions, governmental meetings and the like. There is the potential for this position to manage three other newspapers in the region.
We offer a full stable of benefits and compensation consists of a base salary plus annual bonus and a car allowance. Total compensation would be based on experience.
