The Daily Inter Lake, based in Kalispell, Montana, has an immediate opening for an enterprising sports reporter.

This position is Tuesday through Saturday and requires page design skills. (We will teach page design to the right person.) Send your best page samples and reporting clips to us at the address below. We cover 10 high schools in Northwest Montana, and you'll have a chance to cover almost every sport. The ideal candidate will also be adept at incorporating social media into your reporting.

The Inter Lake is a 13,000 circulation paper in Kalispell and part of a Montana newspaper group that also includes six weeklies. We are located next to Glacier National Park and Flathead Lake and also have two ski resorts and many other recreational opportunities in the area. Because we are a vacation destination, we also have many amenities and amusements not typical of small towns. 

Our news team consists of 15 people who are dedicated to turning out a professional product day after day at the highest standard. We enjoy working here and we enjoy the area. Our staff of younger journalists is multi-talented and working to bring us to the next level.
