Description: Thomson Reuters, the world's leading provider of intelligent information, seeks a correspondent to report on the fund-raising and deal-making activities of U.S. buyout firms. Over the past 20 years, private equity has grown from a little- known alternative investment to an established asset class in its own right. Practitioners raise billions of dollars each year, then invest it in companies in every industry, at every stage of evolution, from startups to pre-IPO to large public companies. The ideal candidate for this position will have mastered all the basic tools of the business journalist's trade--source development, interviewing, reporting from public documents, number-crunching in Excel and writing at a rapid clip. We also need someone to develop a beat that will take them to the forefront of modern journalism. Yes, we need you to write news and feature stories for our still- vibrant print magazine and online intelligence service. But we'll also need you to blog on our community Web site at peHub.com, build a following on Twitter, interview executives on-stage at industry events, and keep pace with our rapidly evolving media platform. Would you like to cover one of most exciting areas of corporate finance? Can you get passionate about hobnobbing with some of the leading minds in asset management? Send a cover letter, handful of clips, and resume to david.toll@thomsonreuters.com.
