Description:

The Enterprise-Journal in McComb, Miss., is looking for a news and sports reporter. The position is primarily geared to news coverage, including some small-town beat and general assignment reporting. It also will include some game coverage (typically one high school football game per week) and laying out the sports section one day a week to provide relief for the sports editor. Ideal candidates must have strong writing and editing skills, and a knowledge of AP style. Experience with Quark is preferred. Degree in journalism or related field required. 

The Enterprise-Journal is a 10,000-circulation, afternoon daily publishing six-days per week. We offer a competitive benefits package. McComb is centrally located between Jackson, Natchez and Hattiesburg, Miss., and New Orleans and Baton Rouge, La.
