Description: Landmark Community Newspapers needs a reporter/editor at-large to cover jobs at the smaller LCNI newspapers in cases of emergency or other staffing shortages. The full-time position, which is based in the Louisville, KY, area, is ideal for someone who likes to work in a variety of roles at weekly newspapers. The work primarily involves helping smaller papers with limited staffing. The reporter/editor at-large could stay at a single property for a period of days or weeks, depending on the need. Many of the newspaper assignments are within driving distance, but others will require flights, hotel stays and extended periods away from the home base. The top candidate must be able to write news and feature articles, take photographs, and handle layout and pagination – plus quickly adapt to new equipment, co-workers and communities. Copy editing experience is a plus. Interested candidates should contact LCNI Editorial Director Benjamin Hamm at P.O. Box 549, Shelbyville, KY, 40066, or at bhamm@lcni.com (preferred).
