The Citizens’ Voice, a 30,000 daily newspaper in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., has an immediate opening for a full-time news reporter.

The ideal candidate will be able to juggle daily coverage with enterprise. We’re looking for a reporter with strong journalism skills who is capable of cultivating sources and covering a variety of issues and topics. One to three years of daily journalism experience is preferred.

The newspaper has a strong focus on digital so the new reporter will need to understand the basics and importance of the Web in breaking news.

The newspaper recently earned 23 state journalism awards, including first place for general news coverage and investigative reporting and prides itself as a watchdog of the community and the news leader in a highly competitive media market.
