Description:

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner is looking for an assistant managing editor to run its daily opinion pages and to help on special projects.

Alaska has been a battleground for many national issues over the years, offering a rich pot of topics for editorial writing. But we also have loads of interesting state and local issues on which to offer an opinion.

We’ve got an engaged readership, both in print and online. Our editorial pages are of high interest.

We’re a small newsroom, which means the a.m.e. will be paginating a few of the opinion pages each week. Some ability with InDesign will help.

Come have an adventure in the heart of Interior Alaska, where moose, the aurora and the midnight sun all make life a little more interesting.

The Daily News-Miner is independently owned, publishes seven days a week and is the leading news source for the Fairbanks region.

E-mail cover letter, resume and work samples or links to Managing Editor Rod Boyce at editor@newsminer.com.
