Senior Editor/Reporter—Security Industry
 
DESCRIPTION
Come join the team of this award-winning monthly trade publication. The position entails writing original features and a monthly department on security issues and security industry trends such as homeland security, school security, and cybersecurity, for example. Other duties include writing for the Web site and developing video stories and other multimedia elements for our digital edition. The ideal candidate is passionate about doing a good job and will excel at enterprise reporting, making complex issues easy to understand, and telling a story in many different media. Serve as mentor for editors.
 
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) preferably in Journalism, English, Communications or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of journalism experience at a magazine, newspaper, etc. writing short- and long-form articles, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Journalism experience required. A commitment to producing high-quality editorial is a must. Excellent writing skills are essential. Knowledge of the security industry is a plus, but not required.
