Summary:

CBSi Advanced Media, a CBS Interactive company, is the central resource for college sports and the category leader in the delivery of integrated multimedia solutions and Internet services for University Athletic Departments, Conferences and Associations. With more than 100 Official Athletic Sites in our network, CBSi Advanced Media focuses on content, functionality and intelligence to ensure the primary online point of entry for our partners' alumni and prospective students is state of the art in terms of technology, design and revenue-generating opportunities.

Essential Duties:

Primary responsibilities include updating official athletic sites within an assigned group and providing general maintenance across the entire network. Duties include, but are not limited to, posting information provided by partner institutions, building promotional graphics, using wire copy and photos to update sites, monitoring live event statistics, and constructing web pages with proprietary software, HTML and CSS.  Please note, this is not a writing job.

Qualification Requirements:

  • HTML, CSS and Photoshop experience
  • Avid sports fan
  • Willingness to work some nights, holidays and weekends
  • Experience in a college athletics department, particularly in media relations or digital media, preferred
  • Ability to work well with others and proactively towards a goal
  • Excellent partner-facing communication skills, both oral and written
  • Very high-level of accuracy, keen attention to detail and problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Superior professionalism, discretion, and judgment
  • Copy editing/headline writing skills

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in journalism or related field preferred
  • Collegiate sports information or journalism experience desired
