Baltimore Jewish Times, owned and operated by Clipper City Media, an award-winning publication serving the most cohesive, united and growing Jewish community in North America -- is seeking a dynamic editor to lead its editorial team.

The magazine, and it's digital platform, is independently owned, and has been in serving the Baltimore area Jewish community since 1919. The candidate will lead a staff of talented journalists, covering local, national and international news of interest to the Jewish community in the warm, engaging, tight-knit and fast-paced setting of  Baltimore's Jewish hotbed. 

The position requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills; community engagement and relationship building abilities; creativity, and strong news development. The candidate will direct the staff on investigative reporting, feature writing, opinion and analysis. The editor must have superior editing and publication production skills. The editor must be proficient with modern social media and digital media platforms. We are looking for candidates with a proven commitment to excellence of producing world class Jewish journalism, and playing a key role building and strengthening Jewish community in the Baltimore area. 

The Baltimore Jewish Times editor will also work closely with its sister publication, Washington Jewish Week. The two editors will collaborate together on content initiatives that provide efficient strategies for stronger quality. 

Applicants should have a strong knowledge and working relationship on domestic and international issues of concern to the Jewish community, and experience with the use of social networking and new media trends. Prior substantive content/media management experience is required.
