We build creative PR, social media and original content programs for some of the most innovative start-up and mid-stage technology, consumer lifestyle and media companies around. LaunchSquad is looking for an established storyteller and content marketer to join our Boston office as the Director of Content Strategy.

The Director of Content Strategy will lead a diverse team of talented individuals who work together to create, produce, share and measure custom content initiatives that translate into high impact opportunities for emerging brands. The Director of Content Strategy should have the editorial experience required to produce premium original content and the in-bound marketing exposure needed to conceptualize original b2b and/or b2c content marketing strategies and programs. The right candidate for this role loves the ideation, strategic thinking, and industry research behind plan development, and the tactical project management and execution required to produce these programs. In addition to client work, the Director of Content Strategy will be responsible for helping to lead and teach a team of motivated individuals who want to grow their content strategy and editorial competencies everyday.

Beyond leading teams and delighting clients, the Director of Content Strategy will play a key role in working with LaunchSquad’s leadership team to prospect and pitch new clients and expand the work of existing ones. The Director of Content Strategy will work as part of the agency's senior staff establishing and executing against long-term practice area goals.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 7-10+ years experience building and implementing integrated content programs for B2B/B2C technology companies
  • Demonstrated journalism experience from writing news articles and blogs to building editorial calendars and managing a team of writers, editors and designers producing content for online media properties or print publications
  • Proven ability to build multi-channel content programs for diverse audiences
  • A passion for designing and pitching content programs & strategies beyond what’s been done before
  • Practical experience with SEO, social media marketing and content optimization
  • Advanced project management skills, including experience working with systems/software that help lead internal workflows and external client programs
  • Adaptable, dedicated and determined leader who embraces the unknown
  • Entrepreneurial spirit & a positive can-do attitude with clients and teammates
