Associate Editor (Employee Benefit Adviser, EBA)

Take an inside track on health care reform and more through one of the most dynamic beats in b-to-b journalism. SourceMedia is currently seeking an Associate Editor for its print and digital publication, Employee Benefit Adviser,

The EBA Associate Editor will be responsible for researching, reporting and writing news articles for the EBAinBrief e-newsletter and related postings to the EBA web site. This Associate Editor will also be responsible for assembling the daily newsletter and preparing it for distribution. While the majority of the Associate Editor’s duties will map to digital publications, there will also be assignments for print and the repurposing of digital content for print. The position requires an ability to produce articles aimed at a sophisticated business audience.


Requirements Include:

  • Excellent writing, reporting and news management skills
  • Ability to create and manage industry contacts
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task on a constant basis and under deadlines, plus work well as part of a team of dedicated online and print editors.
  • Familiarity with e-newsletter production, web publishing and content management systems
  • 2 to 3 years of full-time experience on an online or print publication
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, business or related field
  • Financial or business journalism experience a plus
