Duties include teaching undergraduate level journalism courses that integrate print and multimedia news theories and practices, including newswriting, reporting, editing, multimedia production and newspaper operations; participation in department media and journalism operations; advisement of students; production of scholarly or creative media works; pursuit of grant funded opportunities; and participation in service activities at all levels of the university. An earned Ph.D. degree in a media related field is preferred; an earned M.A. or MFA in a media related field will be considered. University teaching experience in journalism courses is required, experience teaching multimedia journalism courses is preferred.
