As Manager of Subscriber Sales and Audience Development for S-R Media/The Spokesman-Review you will have the opportunity to develop and execute successful sales plans that increase circulation in our core product, as well as in all other current non-paid products. You will put your sales and marketing skills to work identifying new audience clusters and executing plans to drive non-subscribers into appropriate free products. You will work in tandem and on a team with the Product Development Manager, the Director of Sales & Marketing and the Editor & Director of News Content to introduce new paid and free products into the marketplace. You will also lead and develop innovative single copy sales and merchandising. 

Once hired, here’s what we’ll need you to do.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop sales goals and coach for success
• Develop product pricing and sales plans to meet revenue goals
• Confer with marketing management team to ensure top-notch distribution practices are created, trained for and executed for paid and un-paid circulation products.
• Work closely with the Product Development Manager and Marketing Services Coordinator to develop and test marketing messages for individual customer segments.
• Work with marketing management team to improve customer data collection that leads to additional consumer sales.
• Develop and manage Customer Service and Retention through the work of the Consumer Marketing and Customer Service staff to set service standards that are customer-centric.

Requirements and Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or communications; or four+ years of industry experience; or equivalent combination of both experience and education.
• Demonstrated track record of y/y sales and revenue growth.
• Minimum of two years management experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently and show good judgment in dealing with confidential matters.
• Desire to work in a team-oriented, positive culture at a family-owned news media company.
