CQ Roll Call is seeking a managing editor for CQ Weekly to oversee all production and delivery of magazine content to both the print and digital platforms. This person position will play a key role in development of an enhanced digital presentation of Weekly content, including long-form stories on Congress and policy-making, data accompanying those stories, and interactive features that help us tell stories online. The managing editor also will assist the editor in working with reporters and with assignment editors on story development, editing and art and graphics selection. The role also includes management of copy-editing staff for the Weekly and managing the relationship with the printers and with advertising operations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in print magazine publishing as well as digital production. Knowledge of Congress and policymaking is critical, as is a desire to find new ways to tell stories about how policy is made in Washington.
