The American Rental Association’s award-winning monthly magazine, Rental Management, has an immediate opening for a News and Products Editor. The qualified candidate will be responsible for writing, reporting, editing, coordinating and formatting our weekly e-newsletter as well as helping plan, write and report news and product coverage for the magazine and its websites. Some travel required.  




  • Four-year degree in Journalism, English, communications or other relevant field or commensurate experience.
  • Two to four years of writing and reporting experience required as well as proficiency in fact-checking, proofreading, grammar, punctuation.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to meet regular daily and long-term deadlines.
  • Ability to travel and represent the magazine at trade shows and press events.
  • Photography/video production skills a plus.
  • Understanding of AP style, Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign and content management systems preferred.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and willing to be cross-trained.
  • Good interpersonal skills in communications with editorial team, designers, production staff, outside sales staff, advertisers, association members and editorial sources.
