            Wave Community Newspapers, a conglomerate of nine community weeklies in metro Los Angeles, is looking to hire a new editor to revitalize the newspaper’s editorial division and lead and transform the newsroom into a digital-first operation.

            This editor will be charged with improving the Wave’s overall news product while revamping the newsroom operation to make it more reader focused, more nimble and aggressive online and more engaged and integral in the lives of target audiences in Los Angeles.

The ideal candidate is a hard-working, creative and inspirational leader who has demonstrated experience motivating and managing a news staff and who is comfortable and conversant in all things digital, from Web operations and CMS systems to social media and audience engagement online.

Benefits are provided; salary is negotiable. Local candidates are preferred.
