Like people? The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner is seeking a community editor/columnist to bring local names and faces into our newspaper and to our online platforms.

The position is a key News-Miner contact for community members, with the focus being on coverage of people and community/neighborhood events. The community editor will write five columns per week, with the emphasis on people and events. The community editor will regularly attend community events, including those requested by the managing editor or the publisher.

The community editor is also editor of the weekly Our Town page, the News-Miner’s page dedicated to giving increased attention to smaller events. The page is also a showcase for reader-submitted material from Fairbanks and outlying areas.
