Freelance Position Available The Military Family Research Institute (MFRI) at Purdue University is seeking a temporary employee to work with its External Relations team in a capacity that helps advance the organization’s strategies and key messages. MFRI works to support service members and their families through research, outreach, grant offerings and more. Our teams frequently collaborate with other organizations seeking to improve the lives of military families. The ideal candidate will assist the team as it researches and write news releases, web articles, blog posts, and talking points. He or she will also help to develop specialized written content for MFRI’s website, social media, and newsletters. The ideal candidate will have:  excellent writing and editing skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines; and comfort working with social media. A bachelor’s degree in communication, English, journalism or related field is required. Military knowledge preferred.
