The Web & Intranet group of the Public Relations Department is responsible for overseeing the online presence of Saudi Aramco, the national oil company of Saudi Arabia. As the social media director, you will play a leading role in strategic planning and implementation of the company’s communications through social media platforms. The duties of this position include developing and overseeing the execution of strategic social media initiatives; developing and overseeing the company’s online communities; guiding online engagement; administering the company’s social media policy; and using metrics to drive strategy and meet business objectives. In addition, other responsibilities include developing content for posting communications across all social media channels; monitoring the online presence and perceptions of competitors; researching and reporting on new channels and technologies for communication opportunities; maintaining an editorial calendar; ensuring consistency of messages across multiple channels; and partnering with other company departments and affiliate offices to develop messaging and content for social media channels. Other duties may include monitoring and analysis of social media trends and their impact on the company brand; helping apply search engine optimization and search engine marketing best practices; and supervision of an internal social media team.
