Description:

The Fayetteville Observer is seeking a talented, versatile opinion writer. We’re looking for a seasoned journalist, an excellent writer and reporter, who can turn out top-notch editorials, columns, blog posts and tweets, and do the occasional radio or TV spot too. We want an editorial writer who does original reporting, who can engage our readers, make them think and move them to action. Our primary focus is on local and state issues that matter most to Fayetteville residents. That includes a strong emphasis on military issues, here in the hometown of Fort Bragg, the country’s largest Army post. We want someone who will be a leader, a presence in our community, comfortable with a high-profile role. Some editing and management experience is a plus. The Observer is an award-winning, family-owned paper. It is committed to excellence. If you are too, get in touch and show us what you can do. Send a resume and a half-dozen of your best clips to Editorial Page Editor Tim White: whitet@fayobserver.com
