Description:

Health Care Reporter: Providence Business News, Southern New England's leading business publication, seeks a self-starting reporter to dive into the health care sector and come up with topical, clear and incisive stories on the eve of the full implementation of the Affordable Care Act and beyond. Requirements include the ability to master complicated source material, from insurance rate filings to bankruptcy declarations to medical advances in brain science, all while giving the region's business community the smartest take on this vital part of the region's economy. Position amounts to the equivalent of half a full-time reporter's work load, with flexibility as well as the opportunity to help shape this important conversation in the region built in. Previous experience covering health care is a plus but not a requirement.
