Reporter Internship

XportReporter is seeking recruits for a reporter internship to assist with its coverage of international trade and commerce. Candidates will be asked to generate articles based on first-hand reporting and research, gain an understanding of specific industry sectors and develop sources. This is a paid internship based in New York City and may lead to a full-time position. XportReporter is part of Mergermarket, a financial news service owned by the Financial Times Group, a division of Pearson plc.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent experience in journalism, modern history, economics or a related subject.
  • Studies involving or a working knowledge/interest in international trade and commerce
  • Familiarity of industrial, manufacturing and green technologies
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
