Description:

The Jonesboro Sun, a daily newspaper in Jonesboro, Ark., invites applications for a dynamic full-time news reporter to cover county government and politics in Northeast Arkansas, as well as occasionally write feature stories and cover general assignments. We want a hard charger able to ferret out news and tell compelling human stories from what appear to be everyday events. The successful candidate will:

• Be able to write in a narrative style when needed.

• Have passion to pursue sometimes difficult stories and ask tough questions.

• Possess a bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or equivalent field.

• Have worked for a daily newspaper for at least three years.

• Have some experience taking photographs.
