About Patch

Patch is the leading community specific news, information and engagement platform driven by passionate and experienced new media professionals. Patch is revolutionizing the way neighbors connect with each other, their communities, and the national conversation. We want to be the most trusted, comprehensive, and relevant news and information resource in your community. And we need your help.

About Our Editorial Team

The editorial team is part of a dynamic and innovative team that includes Local Editors, Field Editors, and Community Editors, all of whom work together to create bold new solutions for our industry and have a positive impact on each coverage area along the way. Local Editors cover towns, villages and cities and help manage/run Patch sites with a team of editors, quickly becoming intimately familiar with issues large and small. They ensure the overall voice and content on their sites speak to the community in an engaging and informative manner. They excel at all forms of new media, from short posts to compelling photo journalism and videography. They collaborate closely with Field Editors who also work across communities and sites but within specialties that serve our readers' needs and interests, such as real-time reporting or a topical beat. Field Editors bring superior writing, reporting, curating and social media skills to the table. Rounding out the team are Community Editors, amplifiers of the voice of Patch users. They nurture, recognize and reward reader contributions. They love finding ever more creative ways Patch can form lasting partnerships with our audience.

Together, these editors inform, engage and delight our Patch users. This is far more than an opportunity to transform journalism; it's an opportunity to improve the lives of locals in a way that only Patch can.
