Deputy transportation editor, POLITICO Pro

Description:

POLITICO Pro is looking for a deputy editor to join our Transportation team. Candidates must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be capable of managing a team of reporters, and be comfortable handling a large, steady flow of copy, ensuring that stories on a wide variety of topics are accurate, crisply and cleanly written, with sharp leads and headlines. The ideal candidate has transportation policy expertise, including significant experience covering Capitol Hill and executive branch agencies in Washington, D.C., and is comfortable moving quickly from editing a feature story to breaking news coverage.
 

Qualifications

Editing experience a plus but not required. Must bring high energy and the ability to multi-task; generate fresh ideas and think about stories in creative ways; and have terrific news judgment. Ability to work with others is a must.
