Description:

Eurovision Americas, Inc. is seeking a graduate to train as a night News Producer at its Washington, DC headquarters.

Eurovision is responsible for gathering news video of stories happening anywhere in the Americas and feeding them by transatlantic fiber circuits to the major TV networks of Europe.

Eurovision producers have a keen interest in news, a broad general knowledge about international affairs and the ability to recognize important breaking stories and act quickly to obtain the best video coverage. Producers also listen to and edit clips from White House and State Department briefings, major press conferences, Senate hearings, etc.

Editing is on non-linear equipment and producers also operate routing panels and video quality control equipment. Paid training will be given in all aspects of the work.  

Employment will initially be on a shift-by-shift basis, with a level of 3-4 night shifts per week anticipated. Employees who gain training and experience this way are in prime position to compete for full-time day staff jobs when vacancies arise.
