Are you the person who always finds hilarious videos first? Does the way you explain them make your friends want to look, too? Do your friends flock to your Facebook page to view your latest find? If you see headlines on Buzzfeed or Gawker and think you could promote the videos or find better stories, keep reading.

AOL is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player to join the homepage of and work under the head of video on homepage. 

The AOL homepage updates constantly, and this position will focus exclusively on headline/copy writing for all form of videos -- mashups, original videos and partner content. No, you’re NOT actually filming or cutting anything. Topics range from news of the weird to celebrity, fashion, pets, bloopers, etc.

Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria:

•Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to respond to news as it happens

•Be able to spot a hot-button story or a viral video from a mile away

•Be passionate web junkies, familiar with all the top viral videos, memes and trends as well as all current news.

•Have excellent organizational skills, be meticulous about details and be able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously without feeling overwhelmed

•3+ years experience in online journalism, very strong writing skills, eagerness to learn and take risks

•Editor will work 9-6ish and be comfortable staying late if news breaks. All eds take 1 holiday shift.
