DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Description: We are seeking a reporter to cover the burgeoning world of investor activism. This reporter, part of the Journal & DJX deals team, will be expected to break news about specific corporate situations where an activist is investing. The reporter is also expected to cover activism as an industry, looking not only at the investors as individuals and firms but also at the investors, bankers, lawyers and executives with a stake in their activities. The beat also includes news and enterprise on shareholder rights and corporate governance issues in deals.


Position Requirements: The ideal candidate is a proven news breaker who also has a demonstrated ability to write conceptual enterprise pieces. Experience covering markets, deals or companies is required.
