The City of Battle Creek is seeking a Communications Specialist to create and maintain the flow of information between the City, its employees, and the public.  Candidate assists with the planning and implementation of social media communications strategies, online guidelines and standards.  Develops media releases, writes, edits and manages the production of select print publications for the City. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or a related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 1yr demonstrated experience in writing, proofreading, marketing and web content management with preference for video production and communications campaigns. Must be able to work evenings and weekend hours as City activities require.  Salary range is $44,833 to $58,843 depending on qualifications and experience, plus excellent fringe benefits.  Obtain an application either at City of Battle Creek, 10 N.
