DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Description: We are seeking an enterprising journalist to fill the role of Global Central Banks Editor. This person will play a key role in integrating and strengthening our coverage of central banks around the world across all platforms with particular attention to the expanding DJX focus on central banks, WSJ.com and WSJ Live. The global central banks editor will coordinate global coverage of central banks, working closely with reporters and editors who handle coverage of the banks, and will develop new features to solidify The Wall Street Journal’s position as the leading source of central bank news and analysis across platforms. The editor will work side-by-side with the Washington economic-policy editor who oversees coverage of the Federal Reserve reporting team led by Jon Hilsenrath.


Position Requirements: We are looking for someone with impeccable news judgment, refined editing skills and an enterprising spirit and collegial attitude. Familiarity with economics and central banking a plus.
