Crain’s Chicago Business is looking to engage a seasoned, professional freelance account executive to sell enterprise site licenses.

Almost every large and middle market Chicago company has multiple Crain’s subscriptions, either print, digital or both.  But an opportunity exists to sell those companies a site license that would give all of their employees, a specific department, management tier or designated group full access to and/or group print subscriptions.

Many brands including the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and the Financial Times have successful site license sales programs powered by professional sales people that have experience selling information and data to large corporations.

The successful Crain’s arrangement would be to engage one or more sales professionals who have experience working with larger Chicago companies.  The rep(s) needs to have an understanding of how to navigate those companies to find a buyer(s).  A subscriber list and other data sources would be provided, but development of a buyer database would be the responsibility of the AE.  Sales would predominantly be done through telemarketing, although some face-to-face selling would be required.

This is a freelance position.  Our expectation would be that the AE work from home, with minimal time in the Crain’s offices. Compensation would include a minimal draw and large commission with about a 10 – 20 hours per week commitment.
