Description:

The Bay Area News Group, a Digital First Media company, is looking for an experienced reporter to do general assignment reporting and cover the communities of Danville and Alamo.

This is a temporary, fulltime position that will last until at least January 2014.

Candidates should have at least two years of experience working on print and digital platforms and be comfortable filing quick updates for online as well as enterprise and news features for weekly, daily and online publications. Experience with social media is valued, as is an ability to mine the community for good profiles, trend pieces and stories that can travel to other publications and websites under the Bay Area News Group umbrella. Local knowledge of the San Ramon Valley is a bonus.

This position is based in Pleasanton.
