Eighty- six year old food research trade association has an opening for a researcher/business writer. Duties include written data/trend analysis for the association’s daily and weekly newsletters. Ongoing projects include improving and updating the group’s web-based commodity information databases and its annual studies. Experience in QuarkXPress or a similar program is required.

The qualified candidate must possess excellent writing, analytical, computer and interpersonal skills, as well as a college degree. The position involves extensive phone contact with food industry executives. The maximum starting salary for this position is $35,000 and is based on experience level.  The benefit package includes health and life insurance; 401k plan with company match; 2 weeks paid vacation after one year and a 40 hour week, (Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:00), as well as the opportunity for advancement, along with longevity and job security.
