FierceMarkets, a growing online media company based in Washington, DC, is seeking a full-time Associate Editor for its telecom newsletters and web sites. This person will contribute features and news articles and copyedit executive newsletters on a variety of telecom topics, including mobile content. 


Specifically, the associate editor will be responsible for making FierceMobileContent the first place developers and content owners turn to for industry news. 



* Oversee all copyediting and production of FierceMobileContent, FierceDeveloper and FierceBroadbandWireless         

* Work closely with editors to ensure overall quality of content, enforce style guidelines and format content so it is appealing to readers.

*Conduct 8+ media briefings per month with key players in the mobile content industry

* Report and write timely and engaging features and news stories 

 *Ensure smooth, timely delivery and posting of content



+    Bachelor’s degree in journalism or English.

+    STRONG editing skills. There will be an editing test as part of the application.

+    Experience in online media, knowledge of content management systems, HTML and Adobe Photoshop. 

+    Knowledge of the wireless industry and digital content preferred but not necessary.

+    Must be able to work independently to achieve deadlines

+    Positive attitude, “fierce” work ethic
