The Virginia Gazette in Williamsburg, Va., is seeking a reporter with three years or more of experience to cover education for, a 24-7 news site, as well as its twice-weekly award-winning newspaper.

  • Do you enjoy exploring the inner workings of the education system, trends and data?  
  • Are you good at writing about topics from teaching methods to school policies?

We’re looking for a strong writer who can tell a good story through anecdotes and understands the three-source rule.


  • Must be able to work quickly and accurately.
  • Well-grounded in grammar, syntax, AP Style, spelling and math.
  • Fluent on social media, ready to file from anywhere.
  • Able to deal with the public diplomatically.
