Description:

The News Tribune in Tacoma, Wash., is looking for its next kick-butt City Hall reporter. This job is a mix of investigative work and coverage of a city government with 3,500 employees, a $400 million operating budget and its own utility.

We're big on accountability reporting, and the successful applicant must show an appetite for bird-dogging public officials as well as a knack for compelling writing.

The demonstrated ability to manage daily coverage and enterprise simultaneously is also required, and database and multimedia skills are strongly preferred.

Residence in our circulation area is a condition of employment for news reporters.
