Description:

REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT REPORTER

Finance & Commerce, a business newspaper focused on commercial real estate, construction, economic development and finance in the Twin Cities and Minnesota, is seeking a full-time reporter to cover regional development, with a focus on mass transit projects and long-range planning agencies in the state. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated ability to mine engaging stories from jargon-laden planning documents and tailor them to a niche audience. We’re looking for someone who is able to learn on the fly, find scoops on a daily basis, identify topics to develop long-range and write under deadline pressure. This position requires extensive source building and attending occasional after-hour events. To apply, email an introductory note, resume and work samples to Doug Iverson, editor-in-chief, Finance and Commerce Inc., at careers@finance-commerce.com, by June 14.
