Description:

The Daily Sentinel, a 28,000-circulation, award-winning newspaper in western Colorado, seeks a reporter to cover business and health issues.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field. The reporter must have strong reporting and writing skills, be well-versed in AP style, possess the ability to shoot photos and shoot and edit video, and be comfortable working in social media. Prior experience reporting on business and health matters is preferred but not required. The reporter also will cover general assignment on occasion.

We want self-starters who will develop sources and pursue in-depth, enterprising, investigative stories.

The position offers a competitive salary, full benefits and a 401(k) plan.

Grand Junction is the largest city between Denver and Salt Lake City and a regional hub for higher education, shopping, business, health care and transportation. The area offers mild winters and an array of outdoor recreational opportunities.
