Description:

 

The Campaigns & Elections department of the National Education Association invites applications from recent graduates ready to apply their graphic design and art skills to the fields of public education and politics.

The internship would require creating and editing compelling images for EducationVotes.org, a website that engages and recruits activists in the fight for public education and our Facebook property, Speak Up for Education & Kids. The practicum—for up to 20 hours per week—provides exciting learning opportunities and practical work experience for the individual.  Interns are paid and hours can be flexible. 

Duties include:

  • Knowledge of photo editing software
  • Ability to create unique and interesting graphics for a website, including infographics, memes, text treatments and more
  • Eagerness to learn; ability to work independently, proactively and effectively
  • Ability to create multimedia elements, including video and slideshows
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
