B2B Marketing/Creative Copywriter

We complement existing in-house resources with outside consulting solutions that cost-effectively enhance the velocity of each enterprise we serve.

Integrated Marketing Services (or IMS as we call it), is a full service marketing agency within Accelerate-IT that works directly with Accelerate clients to develop and execute on marketing across a range high tech arenas. Our agency focuses on clients in the high tech and information technology space. IMS is a rapidly expanding full marketing agency that utilizes content to drive marketing across websites, marketing collateral, social media, press releases, and more, to grow our clients demand generation and increase their topline revenue.

The Role

This role will research, strategize, plan and develop the production of engaging content marketing programs for IMS and its clients across multiple mediums from websites to print collateral. This role will collaborate with various strategy, creative, and sales resources both internal to IMS and external (with clients) to gather customer-centric, content-inspiring insights. The role will help with the development of content strategies supporting both long-terms content program roadmaps and short term content marketing objectives. The role will be engaged with ongoing development and publication of reoccurring content calendars. This role will also collaborate with tracking, reporting and distribution resources to ensure content marketing success.

The role is broken into four main areas:

  1. Content Strategy
  2. Content Creation
  3. Content Publication
  4. Client Account Services

 

Responsibilities Include:

Content Strategy

  • Understand general business and marketing objectives of IMS clients, and define and align achievable content strategies to realize their goals
  • Create and implement progressive content planning discovery initiatives that uncover inspiring content and storytelling insights that differentiates brands
  • Assess, catalogue, and organize baseline content inventories. Develop competitive content and gap analysis
  • Plan and build content marketing programs and plans for each client that take into account goals, brand, products, target audiences, emerging technologies, resources and budgets. Develop a content strategy document for the client/project
  • Plan long-term, flexible editorial roadmaps and short-term calendars that mirror brand messages and marketing communications within a set of content guidelines

Content Creation

  • Develop search-friendly content in collaboration with Search Marketing, including strategic keyword placement within copy that optimizes content for indexing, ranking, click-throughs and conversions
  • Develop social marketing-friendly content in collaboration with Social marketing, including content calendar development and copywriting, including social posts, articles, blog posts, press releases, white papers, guides and other content as required
  • Develop campaign-friendly to produce captivating promotional copy for creative campaigns and promotions
  • Work with IMS creative in developing synergistic copy/graphic design elements

Content Publication

  • Ensure consistent and timely publishing of content, syndicating across all appropriate customer touchpoints and brand outlets to earn content engagement

Client Services

  • Provide content expertise in new business and client pitches, collaborating with peers to develop all compelling, ROI-driven ideas that win, retain and grow business
  • Identify marketplace opportunities where client brands can better meet the needs of existing and potential customers, and pro-actively bring such ideas forward
  • Support Nationwide Accelerate-IT account teams (Silicon Valley, Boston, Santa Monica, La Jolla)

 

The Candidate

The candidate will have at least 2-3 years of B2B marketing and business copywriting experience, with preferably at least some knowledge of the B2B high tech or IT space. (Experience within an agency setting a plus). The candidate must posses strong written communication skills and a variety of copywriting experience. Candidates with high energy, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic will be given preference.

 

Additionally:

  • Must have sample writing portfolio to view online, including published examples
  • Strong content development skills - including web, print and online collateral, press releases, presentations, product sheets, email promotions, newsletters, blog articles, social posts, etc. - experience in the high tech and/or IT space a plus
  •  Ability to translate concepts into copy that is easily understood
  • Develop competitive content and gap analysis
  • Experience in an interactive design; marketing; and/or PR agency, a plus
  • Plan long-term, flexible editorial roadmaps and short-term calendars that mirror brand messages and marketing communications within a set of content guidelines
  • Develop social marketing-friendly content in collaboration with Social marketing, including content calendar development and copywriting, including social posts, articles, blog posts, press releases, white papers, guides and other content as required
  • Motivated self-starter, a strong driver, a natural communicator, and has 2-3 years of marketing writing /corporate communications experience, preferably in B2B settings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Communications, and/or Marketing and Business Administration
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to accurately proof content
  • Solid computer skills including Adobe Suite of products and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organization skills including the ability to independently manage multiple projects in various stages and drive them to completion in a timely manner

Compensation: Competitive (Starting at $50k/yr)
