We are hiring interns for this summer who are looking for terrific experience in a multimedia newsroom where you'll be challenged to do great work every day.

Who we are: The Mississippi Press is based in Pascagoula, MS, and is part of the Alabama Media Group. We are a digitally focused news-gathering organization, covering southeast Mississippi and the coast across our multiple platforms online and in print.

Who we're looking for: The best and the brightest in all disciplines of storytelling -- journalists who can report online and for print, use social media to get the news and photos out first and help pull together complete packages for our newspaper and our web site.

Who qualifies: Journalism students who plan to continue their education in the fall. Candidates who have had a previous internship are preferred.

The program: 10 fast-paced weeks during which you'll help us find stories, take pictures, and prepare them for online and print.
